Teaching and Professional Development Here I hope to direct others to interesting sites which offer great professional development experiences and sites that I think are useful for a variety of subjects. For teachers Datastreme courses are a great online courses offered by the American Meteorological Society. Teachers can earn 3 graduate credits free - in fact it is even better than that this is a great course that fits with your schedule because it is all online and you even get the books and many extras to use in your class room free. The Maury Project is another great experience. This is a two week course at the US Naval Academy at Anapolis. The experience is wonderful because you learn so much, but you need to register early if you want a chance to attend. They only accept 24 people from all over. You get three graduate credits after completing two workshops for teachers with materials they supply.
